Back into it!

To blog followers and casual readers,

January 2014… I’m hoping it will be a little less epic! This seems like a good time to reflect… 2013 saw me starting EduCafe, starting (and finishing!) my ‘Smidgens’ project, selling a house, buying a new one, joining NZEALS, applying for a Ministry funded pilot scheme and getting it going, starting to learn to facilitate, getting a new job and getting engaged. Phew!

This year I will be starting a new role in a different school, with a little bit more leadership capacity but still helping other schools explore My-learning as well. It should be another great year and I look forward to sharing my reflections, curiosities and ponderings with you once more.

Thank you to all those who continue to follow me. I think it is our duty as educators to share the good, the bad and the ugly; as well as learn from teachers close by and far away. Connecting online is such a great way to do that.

I hope 2014 is a wonderful year for you.

  1. Wow Emma…your year ahead sounds like it will be very exciting and I will follow your progress at a new school with interest!!! I too am going in a different direction as I have successfully obtained a teach NZ study grant to work on my masters in teaching and learning. My first paper this year is e-learning so I will be reflecting on what I learn a lot and trying to connect with the real world of a class also! Looking forward to hearing about your new developments>…all the best!!!
